Staff presence will help ensure that players have the highest quality customer service at Landa Park Golf Course. - Monitor pace of play.
- Respond to golfers' questions, requests, and concerns.
- Communicate throughout the day with the pro-shop and starter on duty.
- Direct golfers around the golf course.
- Inform golfers about golf course policies.
- Monitor the safety of golfers on the golf course.
- Pick up trash throughout the property.
- Check water cooler levels and re-fill as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Education, Experience, Licenses and Certifications Education and Experience:High School diploma or GED equivalent or in process of attaining. Knowledge, Skills and Other Requirements Required Knowledge of:
- City policies and procedures.
- Fundamentals of the game of golf, golf course operations, and familiar with the rules of golf.
- City safety rules and regulations, occupational hazards and safety precautions.
Required Skill in:
- Safe and efficient operation and maintenance of tools and equipment according to standard operating and safety procedures.
- Dealing tactfully and courteously with the public; and providing effective and friendly customer service.
- Effective communication, both verbal and written.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions, with exposure to mobile equipment, requires constant physical efforts; subject to standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods of time; and must be able to safely pull, push, lift and carry items weighing up to eighty (80) pounds.
- Must be able to work irregular hours and varying schedules including weekends and holidays.
- May be required to work immediately before, during or after an emergency or disaster.
