Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Chili's Host provides a warm, welcoming greeting to our guests. You will responsible for providing a great guest dining experience. The Chili's Host will also ensure guests are seated promptly and provide a sincere and heartfelt thank you to each guest as they leave. You will report to the General Manager or Shift Lead.Primary Tasks:
- You will maintain a cheerful disposition and a neat, clean, and professional image.
- Need proficient knowledge of the menu to explain our offerings to the Guests, inform them of current food promotions and specials, and answer my questions.
- Greet guests and open the door for each Guest upon entering and departing.
- Assess the guest demeanor and identify when behavior are called to the attention of a Manager.
- Follow alcohol awareness procedures for identifying age, preventing intoxication, and dealing with intoxicated Guests.
- You will bid farewell to guests leaving. Ensure everything was satisfactory and invite guests to return.
- Keep foyer, host area, and cocktail tables clean and free of clutter.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Hotel station and ensure all menus are stocked and cleaned.
- Restock necessary supplies and bring all areas up to standard.
- Inspect restrooms periodically and maintain cleanliness standards.
- Perform shift change and opening or closing responsibilities.
- Follow all company safety and sanitation procedures.
- You will assist other Team Members when needs dictate.
- Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned
Requirements:
- Required to stand/walk 100% of shift
- Reaches, bends, stoops, and wipes frequently
- Plate food, and clear tables which may require lifting as much as 30lbs
- Verbalize and respond to Guests
- Must be willing to work weekends and holidays
- Prior customer service experience
