Intown Jewish Preschool is a Jewish Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool, and is currently looking for experienced lead teachers with a passion for education. We are a close-knit school family dedicated to innovative education for young children. Ideally, we are seeking candidates with Reggio experienceand a background in early childhood education. Our teachers are enthusiastic and passionate about working with young children. - Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for young toddlers to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning
- Create a nurturing and predictable classroom environment and daily routines
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and any concernsDevelop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool children.
- Use effective engaging strategies with young toddlers learning, including storytelling, music, art, and hands-on activities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Communicate with parents on an ongoing basis
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians.
- Collaborate with other teachers and admin for lesson planning, assessments, parent communication and school events.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of infant/toddler development
- Ability to create & implement engaging and interactive lesson plans that promotes the development of young toddlers.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with parents/guardians, and colleagues.
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to handle challenging behaviors with empathy.
- Organizational skills to manage classroom materials, resources, and documentation.
- Classroom management and behavior management
- Requirements:
- Previous experience working with infants/young toddlers in a licensed setting
- Knowledge of infant/toddler development and best practices. Infant/Toddler CDA, college credit in ECE or ECE certificates preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create and maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Familiarity with state licensing regulations for preschool programs.
