Notice of E 'Verify participation. Examples of DutiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Position requires working mornings, evenings and occasional weekends. Recognize and respond to unsafe situations in and around the swimming pool. Respond effectively to emergency situations.Enforces rules and regulations of the college to provide for the safe and efficient operation of theNatatorium.OTHER DUTIES:Assist in the periodic maintenance of the Natatorium and locker room as needed. Assist patrons getting in and out of the pool using the lift chair.Assist in setting up the pool for the various activities throughout the day. Document accurately the number of patrons swimming on a daily basis.Conduct hourly chemical test.Administer first aid when necessary. Complete accident reports when necessary.Attend all lifeguard training sessions. Perform other duties as assigned.Typical QualificationsAt least 18 years of age.High school diploma or equivalent.Must be able to pass the practical water test given by the Coordinator of Aquatics or Aquatics Specialist.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, ETC:Current Certification in Lifeguard Training, Adult CPR, AED, and Standard First Aid.Supplemental InformationWORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
