Job Overview:D&J Global Logistics is looking for responsible Part-Time Lot Attendants to join our team in taking care and maintenance of vehicles at our offsite parking lot. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the parking lot and providing excellent customer service to guests.Duties will include:
- Parking Management: Directing incoming vehicles to appropriate parking spots, ensuring efficient use of space, and maintaining traffic flow within the lot.
- Vehicle Inspection: Conducting basic inspections of vehicles for damage, cleanliness, and other issues before or after parking. Checking vehicles for damage, Affixing dealership license plates, and directing traffic.
- Vehicle Movement: Moving vehicles within the lot as needed to optimize space or accommodate incoming vehicles.
- Safety: Monitoring the lot for any safety hazards, unauthorized vehicles, or suspicious activity. Reporting any incidents or concerns to appropriate authorities.
- Security: Securing vehicles and car keys
- Cleanliness: Maintaining the cleanliness of the lot, including driveways and sidewalks, and removing debris and trash
- Lot Maintenance: Keeping the lot clean and organized, including picking up trash, clearing snow or debris, and maintaining signage.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of parked vehicles, including location, time parked, and any relevant information.
Qualifications:- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Experience handling vehicles and basic knowledge of automotive operations.
- Attention to Detail: The ability to notice and address issues such as vehicle damage, safety hazards, or suspicious activity requires keen attention to detail.
- Physical Fitness: The role may involve standing for long periods, walking significant distances, and occasionally lifting or moving heavy objects. Physical fitness and stamina are important for performing duties effectively.
- Reliability and Dependability: Candidates must be punctual, responsible, and able to work reliably without constant supervision.
- Driving License: a valid driver's license is necessary. Lot attendants should have a valid driver's license and experience driving both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Flexibility: The ability to work variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is often necessary for this role, as parking facilities may operate around the clock.
