Part-Time Maintenance/GroundskeeperTri-Land Properties, Inc. is seeking aMaintenance/Groundskeeperto join our team at the Hub Shopping Center at 16611-16703 East 23 rdStreet, Independence, MO. The position is responsible for maintaining the common areas of the shopping center in a clean and safe manner while performing outdoor physical duties.Specific responsibilities:Walk the property and remove debris on paved/concrete and landscaped areas; clean, wash or scrape as needed.Ensure pedestrian walkway and service entrances are clear and free of snow and ice during winter season.Maintain trash corrals and trash at dumpsters in clean condition.Spot check plantings for evidence of disease or insect infestation.Check for locked doors on exterior doors.Ensure all parking lot and building lights are in operation.Notify supervisor of deficiencies so appropriate work orders are written.Complete routine and special tasks as required.Completing duties in conformance with standards of maintenance.Work Schedule Compensation and Benefits : 25 hours per week Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. $20/hour and we offer participation in 401(k) with a match and provide company uniforms.Requirements:Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds for periods of time.Must be able to climb different heights of ladders up-to-and including the rooftop of a shopping center.Ability to read and write and communicate with tenants/customers effectively.High school diploma or equivalent.A valid driver's license.Ability to operate various pieces of equipment including: Snowblower, lawnmower, small ATV, hand picker, leaf blower, power vacuum, snow shovel, scrapers, etc.Ability to self-direct and organize time efficiently.Ability to effectively solve issues and communicate results/issues to supervisor in a timely manner.Ability to work standing and walking for the majority of the assigned work period.Successful record of prior work experience.Experience with outdoor and/or physical work is a plus.A background check and drug test are completed before hiring.recblid vkh1xr8vxjasn1ar4cy3u7v4hh3mqu
