City of Ormond Beach Job Description Part Time Maintenance Worker II (Athletic Fields) Summary: Performs semi-skilled manual work in the maintenance and preparation of athletic fields. Duties are generally routine in nature and normally performed under the general supervision and direction of the Athletics Supervisor Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintains ball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, soccer fields, etc. for practices and games Maintains parks and playgrounds for cleanliness and safety. Delivers field equipment as needed. Assists in setting up and tearing down for tournaments/special events. Operates and maintains trucks, tractors, air compressors, and other types of motorized equipment. Must be available for overtime and emergency call-outs when necessary. Assists in preparation for, response to, and recovery from, the impacts of a wide variety of disasters or emergency situations and may be temporarily assigned to other duties, locations, and shifts. Meets attendance requirements. Promotes positive customer service environment internally and externally. Performs other job-related functions as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Education and/or Experience: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent recognized certificate. One (1) year experience in athletic field maintenance is preferred. Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
