REPORTS TO: Director of Athletics and Wellness Center

This position offers compensation of Housing, Utilities, Meal Plan(10 complimentary meals/week) and Wi-Fi in addition to posted salary of $17,225.00

We are looking for a dynamic, passionate, dedicated individual who will lead and implement LCC's strategic plan

POSITION SUMMARY: Lamar Community College Lopes Men's Golf with exceptional talent, teamwork, commitment, and coaches who care about the players as athletes, students, and people. LCC is seeking an energetic and dedicated assistant Golf coach to join our men's team and mentor our male student-athletes. This position is a part-time, year-round assistant men's Golf coaching position. The right candidate for this job will be enthusiastic and will be ready to contribute to the growth and success of the team.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assist to recruit student-athletes in accordance with NJCAA, Region IX and LCC rules and regulations including official and unofficial recruiting visits and admissions procedures

* Support retention of student-athletes

* Monitor and report academic progress of team members

* Prepare and maintain gymnasium

* Assist with practices

* Attend and assist at all scheduled games and team events

* Demonstrate sportsmanship at all times while serving as the assistant men's Golf coach

* Comply with all requirements of FERPA, Title IX, Clery, policies of the institution, the Colorado Community College System, and all local, state and federal laws while performing the required duties of the position

* Other duties as assigned by the Men's Head Golf Coach

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Associate degree

* Experience playing Golf at a collegiate level

* Ability to work a varied schedule

* Strong oral communication skills

* Disciplined to work productively with minimal supervision with a strong can-do attitude and an ability to roll up your sleeves to get things done

* Ability to communicate effectively and in a positive manner with superiors, peers and students

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's Degree

* Knowledge of NJCAA rules and regulations

* Previous experience as a Golf coach or assistant coach at some level

* Previous experience recruiting Golf players

Salary Range: This position offers compensation of Housing, Utilities, Meal Plan(10 complimentary meals/week) and Wi-Fi in addition to posted salary of $17,225.00.
