Check out our Part Time Benefits here Position Summary:Nurse Coordinators will work closely with Human Resources and Dean of Health Sciences to coordinate an Employee Walking Program. Nurse Coordinator's will be responsible for measuring/documenting health screenings including BP, body measurement, BMI and weight for walking participants. Nurse Coordinators will initiate screenings pre and post the 10 week Employee Walking Program. The Nurse Coordinators will also be responsible for checking in weekly with all walking participants to collect/document weekly goals, weekly steps and to offer support and encouragement to participants.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Accurately measure/document blood pressure.- Accurately measure/document body measurements.- Accurately measure body weight.- Accurately measure body mass index (BMI) using hand held monitor.- Knowledge of abnormal health measurement values.- Ability to counsel/give referrals to participants as necessary.- Ability to work with a diverse population of employees.- Ability to encourage, motivated and offer support to walking participants.- Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality laws.- Regular attendance on campus is required for this position.- Other duties as assigned.Related Duties:- Manage confidential health records.- Assist with set up for screenings and weekly check ins .- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.Hours/Schedule: Schedule reflects the dates and length of the program by semester. Typical schedule includes: Wednesdays from 8:00am to 2:00pm, occasionally from 7:30am to 3:30pm (typically in the first and last week of the program); and occasional Thursdays from 7:30am to 3:30pm (typically in the first and last week of the program). Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:- Current CPR certification.- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse License for the State of Michigan. Preferred Qualifications: Additional Preferred Qualifications:- BSN.- Prefer two (2) or more years' experience as a RN.- Past experience working with a walking program would be a plus.
