Preferred schedule: Wed PM, Thursday, Saturday AM Experience preferences: • Since they see Pediatric and Adult Kinga said FNP Is best • They have primary care experience • Experience with emergency – anaphylaxis is very helpful • Flexible with hours – part time as we do with others here GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports directly to Executive Director SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Practice Physician DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Maintains confidentiality of all patient records.
- Checks in with clients about test results and prognoses.
- Advises patients regarding prescriptions and treatment plans.
- Follows all federal, state, and nursing guidelines, regulations, and standards.
- Order and interprets diagnostic tests, including x-rays, blood work and scans.
- Refers patients to specialists if necessary and analyzes medical records and reports.
- Updates patient charts and uploads to Electronic Health Record (EHR) software.
- Works with a team of nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and doctors to provide quality patient care.
- Examines patients, including discussing medical history and symptoms and performing physicals.
- Knows how to use popular tools, including: medical database software, medical research software, medical diagnosis software, medical billing software, e-prescribing software, scheduling software, and telemedicine software.
- Performs other duties as assigned by physicians.
The job holder must demonstrate competencies applicable to the job position. EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. EXPERIENCE: One year of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting preferred. CERTIFICATE/LICENSE:
- California State Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse licenses.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner – Pediatric or Adult
- National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited agency.
- Master's in Nursing required. Doctorate of Nursing preferred.
KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care.Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations and procedures to administer patient care.Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. SKILLS:
Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing to provide on-going patient care.Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions.Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence.Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance.Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. ABILITIES:

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 35 lbs. Requires corrective vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
