To learn more about GSCY, visit our website: Essential Functions:•Promote high-quality innovative programs and lectures with a strong basis in the Y's philosophy and values•Maintain a steady growth of member participation in programs and increasing level of retention•Encourage member satisfaction and success in reaching wellness goals through Nutrition Coaching•Consult with members about nutrition to assist them with their health and wellness goals•Provide recommendations and documented nutrition plans to members based on assessment taking into consideration their individual needs•Recommend other Y services, such as Personal Training, Pilates Reformer, Small Group Training, or Group Fitness classes according to the best interest of each member •Communicate with the Associate Wellness Director about member's needs and feedback•Follow guidelines established by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics American Dietetic Association•Maintain confidential records for each member to track their assessment recommendations and progress•Set up follow-up consultations with members to ensure their ongoing progress•Provide monthly or bi-monthly educational sessions/lectures on nutrition education; topics will vary each session.•Provide time during lectures for feedback and answer questions from members regarding the specific topic Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nutrition or an advanced degree in this discipline
- CPR/FA/AED Certified or able to get certified within 90 days of hire
