This position supports the curriculum by assisting with managing the operations of a school or department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Interacts effectively with the general public, staff members, students, teachers, parents, administrators, and district personnel using tact and good judgment.
  • Composes professional written and electronic correspondence.
  • Performs data entry, keeps accurate records, and maintains files associated with the position.
  • Performs clerical duties such as answering the phone, preparing reports, greeting guests, scanning documents, distributing mail and making photocopies.
  • Assists in maintaining efficient office operations by providing clerical assistance and other organizational tasks as needed.
  • Operates various office equipment, data management systems and other software associated with the position.
  • Adheres to local, state, and federal policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties assigned by the appropriate supervisor.
  • Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required; or one year related experience and/or training.
  • Certificate or License Required: Completes training as required by the position.
  • Language Skills: Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Must have the ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Mathematical Skills: Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Reasoning Ability: Must have the ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Must have the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Technical Ability: Must have considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new technologies adopted by the school district.
