In this role, you will provide essential clerical support to ensure the efficient operation of the facility's administrative office. We are seeking a motivated individual with strong communication skills, a solid work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive both in a team environment and independently. The ideal candidate will excel at prioritizing tasks and managing deadlines effectively. A Day in the Life:
  • Provide backup support to the Executive Support Specialist as needed.
  • Greet, answer questions, and direct visitors (family, public and vendors) into the facility.
  • Receive, screen, and route incoming phone calls.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail.
  • Order and receive facility supplies.
  • File and maintain youth records.
  • Provide and maintain effective office procedures and efficient workflow.
Additional Information:
  • The work hours for this position are Tuesday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

  • Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR
  • An associate degree in any field; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Rogue Valley YCF is a tobacco-free environment.
  • This position will involve daily face-to-face contact with adjudicated and convicted youth. These youth may engage in verbally and physically aggressive or assaultive behavior.
  • This position is located in a close custody facility which requires, as a primary responsibility, strict adherence by each employee to security measures at all times to ensure the custody, control, and supervision of your offenders. This includes rule enforcement and potential hostage situations.
  • General staff and youth safety is an agency priority requiring vigilance and attention to policy and protocol.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Staff is expected to be a positive example and role model for other staff and youth. The staff is to be supportive toward OYA and MacLaren YCF policies and procedures.
