Title: Paraprofessional Reports To: Building Principal Job Classification/Work Year: Part-time FLSA Status: Exempt Pay Rate: $18.50/hr, 32 hrs/wk OR Two (2) positions at $18.50/hr, 16 hrs/wk each Qualifications: Certificates, Licenses, Registrations - Paraprofessional License
- Active substitute teacher license preferred
- Professional Educators License preferred
Education and/or Experience - Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in education preferred
- Record of successful experience in educational setting preferred
Preferred Skills - Demonstrated pursuit and interest in continuing education, professional growth, and/or participation in professional activities with an intent to maintain current knowledge and expertise in the field
- Relevant knowledge and experience in serving an educational organization in an instructional capacity
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with all stakeholders in facilitating continuous organizational improvement
- Consistent record of facilitating, supporting and promoting educational, social, and professional equality and ethical decision-making.

Essential Duties - Assist students and teachers with daily operations of the classroom
- Establish and maintain efficient classroom management procedures and standards of student behavior.
- Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students
- Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the maturity level, interest, and needs of students
- Maintain established routines/schedules and procedures of the school and classroom to which the substitute is assigned
