Part-Time Parking Attendant (Saturday & Sunday, 7AM- 3PM)Department: ParkXEmployment Type: Part TimeLocation: West PostReporting To: Amadeus HoverDescriptionUnder the supervision and direction of the Senior Area Manager, The Parking Attendant provides exceptional service to customers, tenants, and guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner in a commercial parking setting. The ideal candidate will exhibit an outstanding commitment to customer satisfaction, reliability, and punctuality. This position requires prolonged periods of standing and walking.Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate smooth customer interactions with pay stations or automated ticketing equipment, ensuring successful receipt and credit card payments.
- Assist customers in locating their vehicles within the garage.
- Direct incoming and outgoing traffic to appropriate parking areas or spaces, utilizing hand signals or flashlights as required.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries, issues, and complaints promptly and courteously.
- Conduct regular patrols within parking areas to deter and identify any potential risks of vehicle damage, theft, or other property-related concerns.
- Continuously seek opportunities to assist customers, aiming to exceed their expectations and earn their appreciation.
- Professional and courteous demeanor with all customers, tenants, and guests
- Acknowledge, greet, and welcome customers, tenants, and guests, using appropriate protocols
- Assist customers, tenants, and guests with loading and unloading belongings as needed
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to customers, tenants, and guests upon arrival
- Immediately report any accidents to manager on duty
- Maintain a safe, clean and neat work environment by following standards and procedures
- Maybe asked by management to complete small cleaning or maintenance tasks according to the company's maintenance checklists
- Maybe asked to fill in for front line associates during their absences
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/ GED
- Must be able to perform basic math, understand rates applicable to time passed, and understand 24-hour and military time systems
- Able to speak, read, and write English fluently
- Must be able to work legally in the United States
- Must pass background and drug screenings
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to communicate clearly, distinctly, and effectively while maintaining a respectful and diplomatic demeanor.
- Experience in handling and resolving customer issues and/or complaints, including interactions with irate customers.
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for customer service and attention to detail
