Carolina Neurosurgery and Spine Associates is seeking a
Part-time Week-end Patient Representative for our Imaging Desk in our Huntersville office. We have been established as a private medical practice for over 75 years and currently have been recognized as one of North Carolina and Charlotte's Top Workplaces.The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of customer service experience; medical office customer service is highly favored. Must have the ability to multi-task while ensuring excellent patient care. Must be able to work as part of a cohesive team, maintain accuracy and be dependable. Reliability and punctuality is critical for this position as it is the only Patient Representative working on Saturday.
- Checks in imaging patients; collects payments and verifies and/or updates insurance.
- Obtains proper insurance documentation and demographic information.
- Processes new patient paperwork and/or updated paperwork.
- Follows established procedures to prepare for upcoming appointments, cancellations, and no-shows.
- Explains insurance authorization to patients as necessary.
- Follows established procedures for closing the office at the end of the shift.
- Complies with all our processes and HIPAA regulations.
- Applies our values in decision-making and interactions with all individuals.
- Promotes a positive work environment through effective teamwork.
