The Healing Lodge treatment program integrates traditional, spiritual andcultural values with chemical dependency and mental health counseling to createa holistic approach toward healing. Residents include both Native andnon-Native youth from all areas of the country.Benefits•This position is part-time and does notqualify for benefits.About the PositionUnder the supervision of the Kitchen Supervisor you would performthe following:Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare meals and snacks according to planned menu

Clean, sanitize and organize work areas, equipment, utensils and service station

Serve residents, staff and guests in a professional, efficient and friendly manner

Prep dining areas and kitchen for next shift by cleaning and restocking

Clean machines/appliances used in the kitchen

Maintain inventory and stock levels of food items and paper supplies and unload/store deliveries

Added tasks as assigned

PhysicalDemands:The physicaldemands described here are representative of those that must be met by anemployee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
• Frequent reaching, stooping, kneeling, or carrying of equipment and materials
• Walking and standing on quarry tile floors
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and fumes
• Must have full function of hands and finger and able to handle knives and serving items
• Must have ability to verbally communicate and have proficient hearing
• Job requires close vision and the ability to adjust focus

WorkEnvironment:The workenvironment characteristics described here are representative of those anemployee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work maybe performed:in fluctuating temperatures, including heat from cooking andcleaning equipment and cold from walk-in storage and freezers

• Work is performed in kitchen environment using equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, slicers, mixers, knives, etc.
• noise level in the work environment is moderate.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience operating kitchen equipment and cooking utensils in a food service facility
• Must have knowledge of regulations and procedures used in food preparation, serving and storage
• Experience and/or training working with at-risk adolescents preferred
