PART-TIME PURCHASING ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT18 FLEXIBLE HOURS PER WEEK$17.50 - $18.50/hour based on skill set and experience Do you enjoy working as part of a purchasing team and have previous knowledge of MS Office, EXCEL, accounting software, and purchasing concepts? Do you possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail? Are you within commuting distance to Williamsport, Pennsylvania? Little League International in Williamsport, PA is looking to hire a PART-TIME Purchasing Administrative Assistant to join our Materials Management team. This PART-TIME position is scheduled (18) eighteen flexible work hours per week between Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. A background check is required for this position. ABOUT LITTLE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL Located in South Williamsport, PA, we are the administrative and operational headquarters for Little League Baseball and Softball, the leading nonprofit youth sports organization with 75+ years of history supporting youth baseball and softball. Little League® is played in approximately 6,500 communities across more than 80 countries around the world. We believe in the power of youth baseball and softball to teach life lessons that build stronger individuals and communities. DUTIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Working in Microsoft office, especially, Excel, as well as cloud-based accounting software, Sage Intacct, Point Of Sale/Purchasing software, Brightpearl by Sage, experience in Office 365, and the willingness to learn new software.
  • Willingness to work in dual computer systems.
  • Track fulfillment of all purchase orders to ensure the delivery of desired goods/services are timely and are in correct pricing/quantities without sacrificing quality in meeting the organization's needs.
  • Assist with entering details and reviewing multiple shared World Series spreadsheets.
  • Assist with reviewing invoices.
  • Oversee multiple shared email accounts.
  • File completed purchase order documentation.
  • Function as purchasing receiver of incoming goods and products.
  • Coordinate having shredding bins emptied as needed.
  • Work with Operations and Regional staff to manage league addresses for tournament items to be sent.
  • Track deliveries of tournament goods in coordination with others in purchasing department.
  • Manage office supply requests and distribution.
This PART-TIME position would be excellent for those pursuing a degree in Procurement/Business/Finance/Accounting degree looking for a great start to their career or an experienced candidate looking for part time work. Training provided! QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PURCHASING ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT •High School Diploma or GED •2 years of verifiable experience in a purchasing/finance role or purchasing education in lieu of experience. •Willingness to learn and use new software. •Attention to detail. •Excellent organizational skills. •Proficient computer skills including MS Office, especially Excel, and accounting software. •Excellent communication skills both written and oral. •Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team. •Must be able to work independently and collaboratively with various departments and Regions. •Must have detailed knowledge of purchasing concepts. •Possess strong analytical skills. •Requires the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. •Excellent math and negotiation skills. •Must be process-oriented, but willing to take on a variety of tasks. •Must work a flexible schedule with availability up to 18 hours per week and occasionally more from time to time to provide coverage for the department.
