Currently Seeking a Part Time Receptionist
Monday : 1pm-9pm
Tuesday: 10am-4pm
Thursday: 10am-4pm
Friday: 4:30pm-9pm
Saturday (every other week): 5pm-9pm
The receptionist is the individual responsible for greeting visitors to the facility and assisting with clerical functions in the Business Office.
Qualifications:
1. High school education.
2. Ability to communicate with staff, visitors,
general public, and community agencies.
3. Good typing and computer skills.
4. Good telephone skills.
5. Ability to accurately input computer data.
6. Ability to follow directions.
7. Ability to ensure confidentiality and privacy for
residents, staff and employees.
8. Ability to interact effectively and pleasantly with others.
9. Ability to work in an active and busy atmosphere.
10. Proficient with Microsoft WORD and EXCEL.
Physical Requirements:
1. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
doing data entry and paperwork.
2. Must be able to work extended hours, as needed for
the facility.
3. Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push,
pull, climb, lift and carry heavy objects.
Responsibilities :
1. Greets all visitors, staff and guests, providing
resident room numbers and directions to rooms
or departments.
2. Answers all incoming phone calls to the front desk
and forwards calls to the proper person/department.
3. Screens residents leaving the building
4. Posts daily meal menu, accepts order and money
from family members desiring a meal, and places
the order with the Dietary Department.
5. Sorts and properly processes the weekend mail.
6. Distributes paychecks.
7. Accepts money to be deposited into residents
personal accounts and provides a receipt; forwards
the money to the Business Office.
8. Performs typing services for various departments.
9. Prepares new PT/OT/ST stat sheets at the end of
each month.
10. Updates necessary forms for units on a
weekly/monthly basis. (nurses report sheets,
aides assignment sheets, ambulation sheets,
behaviors, vital signs, etc.)
11. Updates/prepares residents ID bracelet as instructed
by nursing staff.
12. Completes photo-copying and FAX transmissions
as needed.
13. Weighs and stamps out-going mail as needed.
14. Identifies and communicates ideas for
operational and/or technological changes that
will lead to cost savings, time savings,
and/or improvements in processes and services.
15. Accepts responsibilities as a participant in the
Eden Alternative.
16. Performs other duties as assigned.
17. Follows all policies set up at the Vestal Park for
security reasons
18. Must be able to fill in if there are call-ins
