Examples of Duties 1. Provide a safe, fun and appropriate experience for all participants.2. Assists the Recreation Supervisor in the planning, organizing and leadership of various activities during evenings and weekends.3. Assumes responsibility for leading specific programs such as bike races, mobile recreation, paddle boarding, archery, outreach events, etc4. Assists the Recreation Supervisor in planning and preparing weekly activities.5. Assists in filling out weekly attendance reports and written post-season evaluation of program and recommendations for next season6. Prepares all reports required on participants, incidents and property damage.7. Provides support as needed for all participants and staff to create an inclusive environment onsite.8. Works as a team member to ensure the program's compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Minnesota Human Rights Act.9. Provides mentorship and work direction for Volunteers at events.10. Follows staff policies and procedures.11. Ensures that all participants follow the established policies and procedures.12. Completes all other duties as assigned by Recreation Supervisor.13. Adhere to and enforce state health guidelines. Minimum/Desirable Qualifications 1. Must be 16 years of age or older with clean driving record.2. Must successfully pass a Criminal Background Check.3. Experience working with youth and families hosting drop in style events and promoting programs at events desirable. Supplemental Information Typical shared shifts are your choice of Monday-Wednesday 4:00pm-8:00pm and Saturdays 8:00am-2:00pm. Part time paid trainings include but are not limited to Lifeguard Certification, USA Archery Coaching Certification, and ACA Paddle Certifications.Ongoing Part-Time employees who are employed for more than 6 months will make contributions to the pension program (PERA) through payroll deductions unless they qualify for one of the exemptions. In addition, Part-Time may receive Paid-time Off (PTO) at rate outlined in employee handbook and eligable for paid parental leave after 6 months of employment.
