The actual hourly wage will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law.HOURS: 22.00 hours per weekPosition OverviewThe Scanning Clerk has three primary functions, each of which entails multiple responsibilities. The first primary function will be the imaging of documents, up to and including preparation, organization, indexing and scanning. Additionally, the duties include, but are not limited to, filing, photocopying, logging items, and maintaining file folders. The second primary function is the importing of files to Synergy from other departments. The third primary function is to maintain the 1st floor file/stock room and keep organized. This also goes for any other stockroom that we utilize.Essential FunctionsScanning Area Essential FunctionsThorough preparation of documents to be scannedAccurate scanning and indexing of pertinent member documentsPerform at or above daily numeric scanning objective as directed by managementPerform quality control of own work, as well as that of othersImport files to SynergyStore and purge scanned documents as designated by procedures in an organized mannerTrain employees as needed on imaging systemFile member information which includes priority loan information (i.e., member denial information, member cancellation information)Scan indirect loans and mortgagesAssist Member Technology Solution team with SSI and DSI verificationsKeep file/stock rooms neat and organizedOther ResponsibilitiesBe available to work overtime or come into the credit union when requested by management, or upon notice of emergency.Participate in special projects or related duties as assigned by managementAdhere to credit union and department proceduresQualificationsEducation & ExperienceBasic PC skills preferred (Windows, Excel, or Word).Must have High School Diploma/Equivalency and a minimum of 6 months experience working in an office settingMust be able to handle multiple tasks with efficiency.Must possess a high level of dependability.Must be able to work independently.Must be a mature individual with ability to ensure the integrity of confidential materials.Physical Requirements/Work EnvironmentMust be able to sit for extended periods of time.Must be able to bend to ground level and lift objects, up to 10 - 25 lbs.Must be able to bend to file at different levelsMust be able to frequently use a keyboard to enter dataMust be able to utilize and view a PC and monitor for an extended period of time while scanningMust be able to work independently without direct supervisionLicensure RequirementsIn compliance with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (S.A.F.E. Act) and the statute's regulations, applicants must be eligible to register as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).
