ANTICIPATED START DATE: 8/12/2024LOCATION: Mesnier Primary and Gotsch Intermediate SchoolsPossible Hours:Before School Work Hours 6:30 AM - 9:00 AMAfter School Work Hours 3:00 PM - 6:00 PMDETAILS: 9.5-month support staff positions for the 2024-25 school year, with no fringe benefits. These are part-time positions, not to exceed 20 hours per week.COMPENSATION: According to the Support Staff Pay Schedule within the Facilitator range. The pay range for this position begins at $15.00- $17.38 per hour. Placement within the range on the Support Staff Pay Schedule is determined by like experience and education. JOB SUMMARY: The Facilitator delivers before and after school program services by implementing lesson plans and activities under the direction of the School-Age Site Facilitator and maintaining a safe school environment for students.QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Prior experience supervising children in a camp, educational or daycare program is preferred
- Effective communication skills (oral and written) and ability to follow written or oral instructions to implement lessons and activities based on program goals and objectives and the needs and qualities of students are required
- The ability to listen well and respond to questions from parents, staff, and students in a positive, professional manner is required
- The ability to maintain confidential information is required
- The ability to effectively supervise school-age children is required
- The ability to redirect and interact positively with students is required
- The ability to develop effective working relationships with school-age students and the school community is required
- The knowledge of working with children with disabilities is required
- The ability to perform essential functions of the position is required
- The ability to be dependable and punctual is required
- Willingness to complete job-related training is required
- The ability to work independently, use good judgment, think quickly and rationally, solve problems, and respond to stressful situations in a calm, caring manner are required
- The ability to remain flexible & positive with the demands of the job without losing sight of the assignment is required
- Knowledge of safety practices and procedures in working with children, and ability to obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification during term of employment are required
- Recent child care compliance training by the Missouri Department of Family Services or willingness to complete is required
- The ability to work with a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural population is required
