Job Summary: The Part-Time Seasonal HR Support will primarily be responsible for screening candidates daily for various substitute roles, assist with interview scheduling, responding to emails, moving candidates through the workflow process, follow up with candidates to ensure they complete the hiring process, assist with the implement of job fairs, interview events, special projects, light filing and provide support as needed. This is a part-time, temporary position. The Part-Time Seasonal HR Support will be held accountable for the following responsibilities:
- Screen candidates daily for various substitute roles
- Assist with scheduling
- Respond to candidate emails
- Move candidates through Taleo
- Follow up with candidates to ensure successful hires
- Assist with and attend job fairs
- Provide additional supports
In order to be successful and achieve the above responsibilities, thePart-Time Seasonal HR Support must possess the following qualifications: Education Required: - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, required
Experience Required: - 1-2 years of previous recruiting experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor at all times

- Strong technology skills in Peoplesoft, Microsoft Office Suites, Google and application tracking systems as well as the ability to quickly learn other CPS software systems
- Must possess superior verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and communicate effectively through various mediums
- Must maintain high levels of productivity in a timely and efficient manner
- Excellent customer service skills with an ability to empathize and be attentive to customers' needs and concerns
- Willingness to work collaboratively with others to achieve district and/or department goals and objectives
- Readiness to work extended hours when necessary along with flexibility to adapt to changing timelines
Conditions of Employment As a condition of employment with the Chicago Public Schools (CPS), employees are required to:
- Establish/Maintain Chicago Residency - Employees are required to live within the geographic boundaries of the City of Chicago within six months of their CPS hire date and maintain residency throughout their employment with the district. The Chicago residency requirement does not apply to temporary/part-time positions.
- Be Fully Vaccinated or Submit to Weekly COVID-19 Testing - Employees are required to be fully vaccinated within 30 days of their hire date. Full vaccination is defined as at least two weeks after your second shot of a two-shot vaccination course, or at least two weeks after a one-shot vaccination course. Unvaccinated staff must submit to weekly testing.
