Job Description:
The Security Officer is responsible for incident reporting, and general security operations directly associated with protecting Sutter Health Park, its patrons, employees and interests of the organization, including the protection of all ballpark infrastructure and assets. Security Officer personnel, will complete required training, work varying schedules (24/7 operation), investigate incidents, complete reports, and patrol the facility.Security/Responsibilities: •Knowledgeable of Sutter Health Park's Emergency Response Plan to act and respond as necessary.•Preventative patrols of the ballpark facility as directed to prevent property loss, property damage, personal injury, or situations having a negative impact on the organization.•Conduct proper investigation and inquiries into all incidents, accidents, security issues, and situations impacting the facility, employees, and guests to include but not limited to damages, losses, safety matters, or injury.•Responsible for detailed reporting including but not limited to incident reports, shift reports, CCTV video, visitor logs, vehicle logs, etc.•Successfully follow and execute ballpark delivery procedures, ensuring compliance with MLB regulations.•Observe for signs of criminal disorder and investigate disturbances according to company policy.•Monitor points of access in buildings and property to allow entry only to individuals with the proper credentials or authorization.•Monitor and authorize entrance through issuance of visitor badges or checking employee credentials, guests, and others to ensure the safety and security of the facility.•Unlock and secure doors before and after events as directed.•Responsible for monitoring security/alarm systems, monitoring CCTV, working communications equipment and reporting any issues with the facility systems during assigned shift.•Respond to fire and medical emergency situations, providing assistance and alerting first responders when necessary.•Interact with guests and employees in a professional and courteous manner.•Move barricades to secure/open specific areas in and around ballpark as needed.•Ensures all shift related issues, observations and critical information is documented, verified, and accurately reported to Security Management in a timely manner.•May assist in escorting any unwelcome persons from the property without interrupting the orderly flow of operation. •Observe departing stadium personnel to guard against theft of property and ensure their safety when exiting at late hours.Required Skills/Abilities: •Excellent observational skills and attention to detail. •Excellent customer service and communicative skills to manage incidents. •Ability to proactively manage emergency & high stress situation in a calm manner. •Ability to portray patience and can communicate with discretion, diplomacy, and tact when handling sensitive situations. •Ability to put the fan first and foster a fun environment to create treasured memories. •Ability to maintain organized electronic records of various compliance documents. •Ability to support Sutter Health Park policies and procedures, being an advocate for the organization. •Must be available to work a flexible schedule including long workdays, early mornings, or late nights. This position is a 24/7 operation.Education and Experience: •Minimum one (1) years' experience in a security role within a convention center, theme park, hotel, sports venue, or other public assembly facility. •Experience de-escalating urgent matters. •Experience in Microsoft 365. •Experience in CCTV and two-way radio communication•Most possess a valid Guard Card.•Certification in First Aid preferred.Physical Requirements: •Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly. •Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking in a game/event setting. •Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and monitoring surveillance equipment. •Must be able to lift one hundred pounds at a time. Compensation:This position is a non-exempt part-time seasonal role with a base rate of $18.00 per hour. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the pay rate provided.
