Lead the operation and strategic development of the Student Nutritional Access Center (SNAC) food pantry and clothes closet. Implement and manage Counseling & Student Life Services initiatives related to basic needs security. Meet with students to discuss needs and develop referral plan and support. Connect and liaise with four-county service area (Sumter, Lee, Kershaw, and Clarendon) support agencies to build service referral pipeline for basic needs including clothes, housing, food, daycare, healthcare, mental healthcare, and related services for the four-service counties for students. Collaborate with other departments to integrate basic needs security into broader wellness initiatives. Undertake additional responsibilities as delegated by the Executive Director of Student Development. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required. A weekly schedule will require a minimum of 24 hours per week, but additional hours may be required during peak. Minimum and Additional Requirements Bachelor's degree, plus experience in case management work, social work, advising, counseling and/or working with underserved populations. Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365), communication skills, and workshop / presentation skills. Lead by example, provides mentorship, has attention to detail, is organized, creative, a team player, and collaborates with others. Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing excellent time and stress-management skills.
