In the summer, students may work up to 32 hrs / week.Student Lifeguards ensure a safe, wholesome environment for swimming pool patrons and employees in the pool area, upstairs and locker rooms with supervision. They will teach swimming lessons in the summer.Lifeguards must earn a Lifeguard and First Aid/CPR card. They may also be asked to earn a Water Safety Instructor card or Lifeguard Instructor card. They must be able to lift over 100 lbs. and carry loads for 60 feet.Starting pay ranges from $9.34 - $11.31 / hr.
