JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Farm Support-PPEM Research Farm

The College of Agricultural Sciences and the Department of Plant Pathology and Environmental Microbiology Research Farm is seeking to hire a motivated individual for farm support April-September, 40 hours per week, to not exceed 28 weeks. Duties will include: mowing grass; field research plot work such as planting, hand weeding, cultivating, harvesting, and data collection; operating various department vehicles on the farm and to and from campus; operating farm equipment; occasionally accompanying field researchers to locations around the State for work at offsite field plots. Previous experience operating farm equipment is preferred but not required. Must be able to work outside in PA weather conditions. Start and finish dates can be discussed with farm manager.

This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
