Who We Need:

Tellers are the face of M&T within our branches. Our customers enter with needs and leave feeling like we have their backs. As a Teller with M&T bank, you'll be an important member of our branch team as we build relationships with customers, process their transactions, and help them understand options available to them.

Your Typical Day:

* Welcome all bank visitors with a warm and friendly smile

* Listen to customers and understand their needs

* Educate customers on products and services available to them

* Accurately and efficiently process teller transactions

* Support operational needs such as cash ordering, vault, ATM, wire transfer, Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and compliance-related tasks

* Support a diverse environment that supports the M&T Bank brand

* Complete other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience Required:

* High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

* Minimum of 6 months customer service experience, including either cash handling or data entry experience

Education and Experience Preferred:

* Professional communication skills and interpersonal skills

* Retail customer services skills

* Strong organizational and time management skills

* Technology savvy

* Bilingual ability is not required but is a strong plus depending on location

Physical Requirements

* Lifting objects up to 30lbs

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.76 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
