Provide tutoring and other support services to students in Academic Skills Advancement or Liberal Arts and entry-level program courses, with a primary focus on subject specific materials in accordance with education, experience, and expertise.
Essential Duties:- Provides individualized and group tutoring in a manner that empowers students to become independent, successful learners.
- Provides tutoring in Ivy Tech courses with concentrations in subjects specific to qualifications.
- Teaches and assists students in the use of computer software.
- Guides and instructs students in the use of software programs and/or web-based applications directly related to Ivy Tech coursework.
- Maintains tutoring records for each student.
- Interacts with instructors as to student needs, topics tutored, course changes, and new textbook adoptions.

Minimum Qualifications:- Baccalaureate degree preferred in subject tutored, closely related field or the equivalent subject-matter expertise acquired through professional experience.
- Computer literacy and knowledge in word processing programs required
- Possess a working understanding of college level skills needed by students
- Tutoring or teaching experience at the adult level preferred
- Ability to exercise important human relations skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with college students
- Strong verbal and interpersonal skills
- Knows and can utilize training provided in tutoring several Ivy Tech Courses
