**Position Summary:**Penske Truck Leasing seeks highly motivated and qualified applicants to fillthe unique position of Hiker (Vehicle TransporterTruck Driver). This positionis responsible for vehicle delivery and returning vehicles to Penske locationsand Penske customers. Primarily, this position moves our box trucks up to 26'and for CDL Class A will include tractors and trailer movement. Position mayalso provide assistance to the service department to deliver parts andequipment.This is a casualon-call part-time truck driving job that is perfect forlicensed CDL Class B or CDL Class A drivers seeking supplemental income andlooking to work anywhere from 0 to 25 hours a week based on business needs.Find out what makes Penske great!Click Here (https:www.youtube.comwatch?v=2gNxP04N06o)**Pay:** Class A - $18.00hour; Class B- $17.00 and Class C - $16.00hour**Major Responsibilities:**• Follow appropriate safety procedures while driving trucks to destination ofPenske location or customer locations• Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment isin good working order, report to location manager if any issues are found• Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment forservices when required• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to thevehicles• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor**Why is Penske for you?*** We take pride in offering a competitive wage and great benefits.* This position, at this location, offers a second shift and weekend shift differential (starting after 11am) of $2.50hour; or third shift (starting after 9pm) of $3.50hour.* Penske takes pride in safe fleet of vehicles for our Hiker staff that helps us ensure the vehicles are where our customers need them.**Qualifications:**• 2 years of driving experience required• 2 years of a clean DMV motor vehicle record required• CDL Class B license required• CDL Class A license preferred• Ability to read and follow written instructions is required.• Ability to work independently, customer service skills, organizationalskills, and a positive attitude are required• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at thespecific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit toa background investigation (to include past employment, education, andcriminal history) and drug screening are required.This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designatedas safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constantstate of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
