This is a wage (part-time) position with no benefits.
SVMHI is seeking an energetic individual to assist in administrative support to Human Resources and Staff Development. This position will provide administrative support to a wide variety of staff development and human resource functional areas in a fast-paced environment while performing specific duties requiring attention to detail and to meet deadlines. Assists with a wide range of projects related to compliance, recruiting, pre-hire requirements, onboarding/new hire orientation, employee files, supply maintenance and other duties as assigned. This position assists with maintaining the Virginia Learning Center (VLC) as well as backup for HR information systems.
This position requires the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; to use independent judgment to plan and accomplish tasks; and to initiate and maintain automated Staff Development and HR recordkeeping systems, including web-based applications.
This position requires a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations, information and documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
Considerable knowledge and skill in office organization.
Considerable knowledge/experience involving keyboarding and data entry.
Considerable knowledge/experience in the use of Microsoft Suite programs to include Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Additional Considerations
Work experience and/or training related to records management, data systems, recruitment, and human resources practices.
Veterans and people with National Service.
Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.
