Summary

Signature Graphics is a locally-owned, full-service heatset and coldset commercial printer with direct mail advertising and graphic design businesses located in Portland, Oregon and Spokane, Washington with a total of approximately 180 employees. Since opening in 1984, Signature has become one of the largest printers in the Pacific Northwest, and we are currently looking for a Part-Time Warehouse Driver to help with delivering and loading and unloading materials around the plant using a forklift and perform other warehouse duties.

POSITION PURPOSE

The Warehouse Driver delivers product by driving motor vehicles up to 26,000 pounds in gross weight on public roads. This position also performs warehouse work that involves moving, loading and unloading materials around the plant and in/out of vehicles using a forklift. This position pulls product and assembles them for shipment, packs product in boxes and uses banding and shrink-wrap machines. This position also uses computers and other electronic devices.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Moves, loads and unloads materials around the plant and in/out of vehicles using a forklift

Pulls product and assembles them for shipment, packing product in boxes and using banding and shrink-wrap machines

Uses computers and other electronic devices

Works closely with other personnel and management to ensure shipping deadlines are met

Drives motor vehicles up to 26,000 pounds in gross weight, including a manual transmission, 26-ft. straight truck, on public roads to deliver and/or pick up material(s)

Follows all safety guidelines, minimizes down time of forklifts and machines, and keeps all forklifts and machines in safe working conditions

Performs required daily basic maintenance and safety checks on all vehicles driven

Compensation: Non-exempt (hourly) competitive wage, depending upon experience

3+ years experience driving forklifts, vans, and trucks

Forklift Certification required (OSHA-Certified preferred)

Current state-issued driver's license, the ability to be insured by our insurance company, and the ability to complete DOT medical screening are required for driving our vehicles on public roads

Any relevant post high school training is a plus

Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds

Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and DOT medical screen

Basic proficiency in English **Other Duties**

Day shift, with some variation of hours needed to support production deadlines and unanticipated events.
