WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS COORDINATOR: JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

To coordinate the Company's warehouse operations in a manner that will improve the Company's efficiency and profitability; help achieve the Company's mission and goals and deliver results in outstanding performance standards that exceed our customers' expectations. This is an entry-level position and ideal for someone looking to gain experience in a warehouse and production environment.

Reports to: Director of Operations.

Reporting Responsibility: Operations & Production.

General Responsibilities:

The Operations Coordinator's responsibilities involve:

  • Fulfilling orders from Production for goods from our warehouse packed efficiently onto trucks for delivery

  • Receiving deliveries and entering them into inventory through the company's inventory management system

  • Maintaining a clean, efficient warehouse

  • Repairing & maintaining the equipment that comes in and out of the warehouse.

  • Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the Company and a favorable image of the Company.

  • Working a rotating schedule that will include time in the warehouse and on job sites for load-ins and load-outs.

Loading and unloading trucks:

The Operations Coordinator will ensure:

  • The goods needed from the warehouse are scanned and packed securely onto trucks.

  • Ensure the goods returning to the warehouse are scanned, checked for completeness, and working order before being returned to their place in the warehouse.

Warehouse Maintenance:

On a daily basis, the Operations Coordinator will ensure the:

  • The floors, truck bay, and aisleways of the warehouse are clean, dry, painted, and clear of equipment or debris.

  • The aisles and truck bays are appropriately lit.

  • The shelves of the warehouse are clean, dry, and secure.

  • The trash and recyclables are neatly stowed until removed by trash haulers.

Equipment Maintenance:

On a daily basis, the Operations Coordinator will ensure that:

  • All Company-owned equipment is kept in good working condition.

  • The Receiving Desk is manned for all incoming deliveries, including Company-owned equipment returning from a job.

  • The received deliveries are checked for completeness and are in proper working condition.

  • The equipment in the warehouse is clean and free of dust or debris.

Facilities Maintenance: On a daily basis, the Operations Coordinator will ensure that:

  • Perform routine walkthroughs of the facility to assess general conditions.

  • Use and maintain vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.
  • Move furniture, equipment, supplies, and tools on an incidental basis
  • Provide services including proactive maintenance, moves/changes, and reporting of any issues with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and reactive maintenance to the appropriate repair teams.
  • Perform routine walkthroughs of the facility to assess general conditions.
  • Responds to emergency cleanups during the day, such as clogged drains and spills.
  • Escalate any problems or issues that cannot be addressed to the Director of Operations.
  • Support health and safety initiatives.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

Follow regulations:

  • Observe OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations

  • Follow all company and regulatory agency safety policies

Reporting:

The Operations Coordinator will:

  • Alert Management of any broken or damaged equipment.

  • Alert Management of any need for expendable supplies (like tape, zip ties, duvetyn, etc.)

Other Duties:

  • Additional tasks as assigned by management.

  • Provide suggestions to improve efficiency.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent listener and communicator
  • Able to lift up to 75 pounds
  • The hours of these positions vary, based primarily on the scheduling of each event. Candidates with open availability are highly preferred (days, nights, or weekends, and occasional overtime available.)
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess professional interpersonal skills to interact with clients
  • Solid working knowledge of computers and mobile devices
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Must be accurate, detail orientated – with the ability to operate well under pressure
  • Proficiency with the use of all equipment and tools
  • Ability to multi-task and stay focused on critical objectives
  • Ability to travel out of town for several days/weeks consecutively when required

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Will be working in varying weather and temperature conditions, including but not limited to snow/cold temperatures during the winter and hot temperatures during the summer.
