Part-time Welding Technology InstructorJob Summary:The part-time instructor will teach GMAW welding courses at night during the Spring 2025 semester (8 total credit hours). This position involves utilizing National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) curriculum. This includes creating lesson plans and task sheets in order to ensure a safe and productive learning environment. This position is governed by state and federal laws and institution policy. Salary: $550 per credit hour. Supervisory Responsibilities:N/ADuties and Responsibilities:•Deliver program curriculum. •Maintain up-to-date student records. •Monitor student classroom and lab activities and provide needed guidance. •Perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities:
  • Possess the knowledge and skill necessary to present course/program curriculum.
  • Ability to operate welding program equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use professional technology to conduct college-related business (ex. Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Ability to maintain order and structure in the classroom and lab environment.
  • Capable of supervising students and addressing minor behavior issues effectively and appropriately.
Required Education and Experience:Formal education equivalent of a high school diploma and/or GED and minimum 3 years recent welding experience. Preferred Education and Experience:Associate degree in Welding Technology and minimum 5 years recent welding experience. Physical Requirements:The individual must be able to operate welding program equipment, stand for long periods of time, and lift up to 50 lbs.
