You'll work alongside dedicated professionals who share your passion for the game and commitment to youth development.Job ResponsibilitiesLead and execute engaging practices through detailed practice planning and implementationCoach games with a focus on player development and team successBuild meaningful relationships with players to support their individual growthCollaborate effectively with assistant coaches to optimize practice and game experiencesMaintain open communication with team managers regarding player development and parent feedbackCreate a positive, encouraging environment that promotes both athletic and personal growthDocument and track player progress throughout the seasonParticipate in professional development opportunities to enhance coaching skillsKnowledge, Skills, and Experience NeededStrong understanding of basketball fundamentals and ability to teach them effectivelyExcellent communication skills with players, parents, and staffAbility to create age-appropriate practice plans that develop both individual and team skillsStrong leadership presence and ability to serve as a positive role modelExperience playing or coaching basketball at a competitive level (preferred)Commitment to continuous learning and professional developmentWork Environment & ExpectationsGames and practices held at facilities in Redwood City and Menlo Park (within 15 minutes of Highway 101)Professional athletic attire required (#esfacefresh dress code)Active participation in on-court activities requiredWeekend availability necessary for games and eventsCommitment to attend 1-2 paid professional development sessions per seasonRequired QualitiesTeam-player mentality with a focus on collaborative growthPositive energy and enthusiasm for youth developmentHumble attitude with eagerness to learn and grow (#P2G - Pursuit to Greatness)Strong work ethic and reliabilityPassion for basketball and youth developmentAbout Team EsfaceTeam Esface is a youth basketball academy dedicated to transforming young lives through the power of basketball.
