Job Description:
DescriptionDLA, LLC is seeking a highly experienced Internal Audit consulting professional to spearhead the broadening of our Internal Audit service line within the Manufacturing & Distribution sector. This Partner-level position will report to the IA Business Group Leader (or designee) and play a significant role in executing DLA's overall growth strategy. DLA's Internal Audit team has significant SOX Compliance and Risk Management expertise across enterprise, IT, regulatory, and operational risk. As a leader of the firm, the Partner will demonstrate industry expertise as well as excellent practice building, project management skills, client service, and positive coaching to team members in developing technical and professional competency.Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead the growth of DLA's Internal Audit consulting practice at DLA by developing and implementing strategic and tactical plans in accordance with DLA's mission and vision
  • Utilize entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with the goal of acquiring new clients, projects, and net new revenue
  • Elevate DLA's brand by demonstrating thought leadership and embracing our marketing and sales programs
  • Lead and manage multiple concurrent audit engagements
  • Assist in managing client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met
  • Oversee all aspects of project management, including developing project scope and project plan, plan implementation, reviewing budgets, and overseeing proper delegation of assignments to team members, as well as communicating findings to the client's management teams
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships; including understanding their needs, ensuring client satisfaction and excellent service
  • Provide timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations including coordinating the development and execution of the consulting work plan and client deliverables
  • Responsible for ensuring the engagement team has an in-depth understanding of the client's business.
  • Lead the hiring, growth, and development of team members, and help these individuals meet their professional goals
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum of 15 years related consulting experience serving relevant industry clients in a professional services setting
  • Relevant industry expertise; considered a subject matter expert in their specific industry
  • Professional services experience required
  • Demonstrated SOX assessment and/or operational risk management experience
  • Experience producing and delivering communications to the executive level
  • Project management experience
  • Prior experience managing a team
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical ability
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience summarizing results and producing management reports
  • Strong computer proficiency, specifically with MS Office
  • CPA/CIA/CISA preferred
