This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned litigator with a portable book of business to contribute to the growth and success of our firm, while also developing their own practice. This position offers an excellent platform for a motivated individual to leverage their existing client base and network, to expand their practice and influence within the firm.Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of litigation, including taking and defending depositions, hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
- Develop and execute litigation strategy, manage discovery obligations, draft pleadings and briefs, and lead trial teams.
- Proactively manage a substantial case load across a variety of jurisdictions, while ensuring your clients are provided with up-to-date legal advice.
- Actively participate in business development activities to attract and retain clients.
- Mentor and guide junior lawyers and staff, fostering an environment of teamwork and collaboration.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and decision-making at the partner level to advance the overall direction and growth of the firm.
- Maintain an excellent level of customer service to ensure the satisfaction and retention of clients.
Qualifications:
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar of New Jersey is required.
- Admission to the state bar of New York is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of litigation experience in litigation, with a focus on business law.
- A substantial book of business, demonstrating your ability to maintain and grow client relationships.
- Exceptional legal acumen, with a proven track record of success in litigation.
- Outstanding negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to represent the firm to a diverse range of clients and external stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in mentoring and guiding junior lawyers and staff.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases and projects.
- A commitment to the highest standards of ethics and professional conduct.
