We are looking for a dynamic Automotive Parts Advisor to join our team and contribute to our continued success. Position Overview: As an Automotive Parts Advisor at Murgado Ford of Chicago, you will play a vital role in our parts department, ensuring that our customers and service technicians receive the correct parts in a timely manner. This position requires a knowledgeable, detail-oriented professional who can provide exceptional service, whether assisting customers directly or working behind the scenes to manage inventory. Key Responsibilities: Assist customers and service technicians in locating the correct automotive parts and accessories. Provide accurate pricing information and availability of parts to customers. Process customer orders and ensure timely delivery of parts. Maintain and manage inventory levels, ensuring parts are stocked and organized. Communicate with suppliers to order parts, track shipments, and resolve any supply issues. Use dealership management software (DMS) to check parts availability, input orders, and manage inventory. Assist in the preparation of parts estimates and quotes for customers. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional and courteous manner. Keep the parts department clean, organized, and stocked with the necessary tools and resources. Collaborate with the service department to ensure all necessary parts are available for scheduled repairs and maintenance. Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends to better assist customers and service technicians. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience as a Parts Advisor in the automotive industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive parts and accessories, including Ford vehicles. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships. Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and manage time efficiently. Proficient in using dealership management software (DMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to lift and handle parts and materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
