Position Title: PARTS ASSOCIATE
Location: MIDLAND, TX
FLSA Class: NON-EXEMPT
Responsible to: PARTS SUPERVISOR
Position Summary: The position of Parts Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to mechanics and other team members in a busy parts department focused on tractor-trailer maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Maintain inventory levels by ordering and stocking parts as needed.
* Prepare and process purchase orders and vendor invoices.
* Update and maintain accurate records of parts inventory and sales through TMT software.
* Stay up to date on industry trends and changes in parts availability and pricing.
* Maintain a clean and organized parts department.
Other Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Must lift heavy equipment and parts regularly up to 50 lbs.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
* Must be comfortable with working in a shop environment.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a parts department or similar role.
* Strong knowledge of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts and accessories.
* Proficient in computer skills and ability to use parts lookup systems
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
