Position Description: Parts Sales Associate (Retail Counter) & Parts Driver
Reports to: Parts Manager
Position Summary: The Parts Sales Associate sells parts to all available customers over the counter, through the shop or on the telephone. Must present a professional appearance. The Parts Driver delivers and picks up parts and equipment for the dealership.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Educational: High school diploma or the equivalent.
Experience: One year in a vehicle parts department preferred.
Special Skills (i.e., licenses, certifications, etc.): Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Ability to work well with the public. Ability to use personal computer and applications including word processing and spreadsheet applications. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple reports. Ability to effectively communicate one-on-one with customers, employees and vendors.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certifications, Licenses, & Registration:Current, valid, driver's license; satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) are required.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud. Occasionally required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift 40 pounds of material. Is potentially exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or other toxic materials commonly found in a motor vehicle dealership. Occasionally, exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles.
