Parts Counterperson
Wendle Motors in Spokane, WA is seeking an experienced, full-time Parts Counterperson to join our team! The Parts Counterperson is responsible for obtaining parts and accessories for the service technicians, retail and/or wholesale clients. This person needs to meet goals and maintain the highest customer satisfaction. This individual must maintain the Parts Department in a clean and orderly manner. The Parts Counterperson will assist with inventory ordering, stocking and control. A successful person in this role will have mechanical aptitude as well as top-notch customer service!
Schedule & Pay:
* Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
* $40,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience
Responsibilities:
* Provide parts and accessories to service technicians, retail customers, and wholesale clients, ensuring prompt and accurate delivery.
* Answer phone calls, provide price quotes, and offer information about parts availability and features.
* Process customer orders for pickup, delivery, or shipment, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
* Assist walk-in customers by recommending parts, suggesting complementary products, and informing them of promotions.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of product lines and vehicle parts to effectively communicate with customers and service staff.
* Restock parts in their designated areas, monitor inventory levels, and participate in inventory control efforts.
* Handle customer returns, process credits, and ensure all required paperwork, including original invoices, is completed correctly.
* Collaborate with outside sales reps and assist with their orders, credits, and customer follow-up.
* Uphold ethical selling techniques and comply with all laws and internal policies regarding parts sales.
* Ensure a clean and organized parts department and promptly address any issues that might affect safety or workflow.
Qualifications:
* At least 18 years of age
* Valid driver's license
* Auto parts counter experience
* Good comprehension of Parts electronic catalogs
* Good communication skills
* Mechanical aptitude
