Description of the role:As a Parts Counterperson at Classic Ford Lincoln - Columbia, you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately assisting customers with their parts needs. You will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining an organized parts department.Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in person, over the phone, and via email with their parts inquiries
- Identify the correct parts needed based on customer descriptions, vehicle information, and parts catalogs
- Provide price quotes and process parts orders
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels
- Track back-ordered parts and follow up with customers
- Collaborate with the service department to ensure timely and efficient part delivery
- Handle warranty claims and returns
- Maintain a clean and organized parts department
Requirements:
- Prior experience in automotive parts sales or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and their applications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in using parts catalogs, inventory management software, and basic computer applications
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time
