OverviewParts Custodian Logistician (F3500 2024-21824):Bowhead seeks a Logistician to join our team in Crane, IN. The Logisticians are responsible for managing a product's life cycle from design to disposal and must be able to develop, adjust and carry out logistical plans related to various products. Logisticians are required to properly allocate materials, supplies and products to ensure the success of the contract and must have excellent communication and problem solving skills. The Logisticians must also keep accurate and complete record and be able to work in a fast-paced environment requiring excellent organizational skills.ResponsibilitiesEssential functions will include: Project Acquisition/Logistician for all parts pertaining to Air and Surface Search Radar Systems and Strategic Radars. This would support AN/SPS -48, AN/SPS -49, AN/SPS-73, AN/SPS-67, and AN/SPA-25. Monitoring/ordering parts while tracking and presenting EDDS to make sure all deadlines are met.Add all parts on recordWork directly with the team on ordering parts for out years to support any future workload.Oversight the procurement specialist on getting all parts on record.“Part Research”= Contact companies for part inventory/obsolescenceStrategizing acquisitions and develop purchase planAcquisition/Logistician for all parts pertaining to Air and Surface Search Radar Systems. This would support AN/SPS -48, AN/SPS -49, AN/SPS-73, AN/SPS-67, and AN/SPA-25Monitoring/ordering parts while tracking and presenting EDDS. Weekly ReportWork directly with engineering on quote efforts) Parts to be ordered through DLA Troop support and Mil-strip.Present all parts that are on record to help with forecasting orders for the out years.Strategizing acquisitions and develop purchase planOther Duties as AssignedQualificationsAccess to Web Visual Logistics Information Processing System (WEBVLIPS), NAVICP Supply Support Programs (NSSP), Logistics Management Systems (LMS21) SharePoint, Integrated Product Data Management (IPDM), ERP, Navy One Touch, IHS Haystack Gold, Web Federal Logistics Information System (WEBFLIS), DoD Fedmall, Shop Workload Management System (SWMS) and WXP shared site. Good organizational skills,proficient in Microsoft products,Good communication skillsAn Associate's degree is desired or a minimum of at least five (5+) years of experience however additional experience may be substituted for formal education for highly qualified candidates.An understanding an application of logistics principles, concepts, practices and standards. Knowledge of industry practices an application to government practices. Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPointAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contactsStrong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a teamPhysical Demands:Must be able to lift up to 25 poundsMust be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of timeMust be able to twist, bend and squat periodicallySECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level.
