Job Description:
Summary:As a parts delivery driver for our Newton Ford South auto dealership, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our parts delivery process. You will be responsible for delivering automotive parts to local vendors promptly and efficiently, whileproviding excellent customer service. In addition, you will assist the parts department by obtaining and delivering parts to our service technicians. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and a commitment to safety.What We Offer:

What You Will Do:
  • Deliver automotive parts to local vendors in a timely manner, following assigned routes and schedules.
  • Deliver parts to service technicians in the shop.
  • Load and unload parts onto delivery vehicle, ensuring accuracy and careful handling to prevent damage.
  • Verify parts orders against delivery invoices to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collect payments from customers upon delivery, if required.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including answering inquiries and resolving issues professionally and courteously.
  • Maintain delivery vehicle in clean and good working condition, conducting routine inspections and reporting any issues to management.
  • Complete delivery and mileage logs accurately and submit them to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Answer the phone in parts department, as required.
  • Serve as a backup to parts stocking associate, as required. This includes assisting with inventory management tasks, such as organizing parts in stockroom and conducting routine inventory checks.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with parts department management and staff to coordinate deliveries and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, as well as understand and adhere to federal, state, and local regulations applicable to the industry.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the delivery vehicle.
What You Need:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with automotive parts and terminology is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy objects, and comfortable working in varying weather conditions.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
  • Valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and clean driving record.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings, as required by company policy.
