The Parts Inspector is also accountable for complete inspection and shop traveler records and the issuance of Certificates of Conformance to the specified material condition requirements. Inspection scope includes repaired and new make part s for both turbine engine parts and power generation package parts.Position responsibilitiesReceive orders and validate part quantities and completeness of instructions.Perform visual and dimensional inspections.Set up and calibrate dimensional equipment.Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects).Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.Organize, record, report and file inspection results.Perform other job tasks as assigned by supervision.Pass certification tests in applicable inspection methods to advance skills and position level.Operate cranes and vehicles.Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.Technical understanding of inspection methods and proceduresUS work authorization is a precondition of employment.
