Parts Inventory Specialist - Manufacturing - Base Salary to 25.00/hour - Howell, MI
- Our client, a family-owned company with a history spanning over 100 years, has recently experienced growth through expansion and is seeking an Parts Inventory Specialist, who is eager to join a growing organization.
- The Parts Inventory Specialist will utilize their mechanical and electrical aptitude to manage the check-in, check-out, and ordering of parts and supplies for the plant, ensuring the availability of critical components for smooth operations.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, categorize, and track mechanical and electrical parts, including specialized components
- Troubleshoot inventory discrepancies such as missing, mislabeled, or misplaced parts
- Collaborate with technicians, mechanics, and engineers to ensure accurate and timely part availability
- Maintain an organized parts inventory, prioritizing critical components for machinery and electrical systems
- Ensure essential parts are stocked to prevent downtime and support smooth plant operations
- Assist in repairs or installations by efficiently providing the correct tools and components
- Review technical specifications to ensure correct parts are ordered for specific machinery or systems
- Monitor part usage trends to anticipate inventory needs and optimize stock levels
- Ensure timely reordering of high-demand or frequently used parts to avoid shortages
- Implement improvements in inventory management processes based on knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience ordering parts and supplies within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Familiarity with mechanical and electrical components in industrial machinery.
- Proficient in inventory management
Compensation:
- Base salary to 25.00/hour
