Parts ManagerThe Parts Manager oversees the Parts department and is responsible for the profitable operations of the department in the dealership.Responsibilities
- Hiring and managing parts department employees, as well as monitoring their performance.
- Monitoring proper inventory stocking levels, obsolescence and parts purchases for manufacturer parts as well as aftermarket parts and accessories.
- Responsible for conducting annual physical inventory and reconciliation.
- Creating goals and new objectives, including managing the budget and a marketing plan promoting new and repeat business.
- Keeping up-to-date on manufacturer policies and recommended procedures while acting as liaison with factory representatives.
- Maintaining high levels of customer service from customers by handling customer complaints immediately and within dealership policies.
Qualifications
- History of progressive parts department experience up to successfully managing parts department functions and related personnel
- Strong Reynolds & Reynolds experience.
- Proven, demonstrable track record in parts inventory management and leadership skills.
- Previous experience maintaining department profitability while controlling expenses and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Extensive inventory management knowledge.
- Strong communication skills to deal with customers, employees, and vendors.
- Understand and comply with the federal, state, and local regulations including but not limited to OSHA regulations and hazardous waste disposal, and ethical practices.
