The Parts Professional I is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while supplying customers with timely and accurate information regarding accounts, products, promotions, and services offered. This position is an entry level Parts Professional position.
Essential Job Functions:
* Provide excellent customer service to customers at the counter and over the phone including greeting and welcoming them and using their names during interactions.
* Timely and accurate processing of all in-store and complete orders by communicating with customers on pick-up or delivery status.
* Locate and obtain merchandise for customers, whether in-stock, out-of-stock or non-stocked merchandise.
* Maintain inventory integrity by verifying receipting-in of shipments and assisting with placing parts orders in their proper inventory locations, assist with cycle counts, follow up on inventory discrepancies and expedite issues by immediately reporting to manager.
* Assist with preparing and maintaining a professional showroom image and merchandise displays to meet current climate needs.
* Closes open invoices in a timely manner
* Provides back-up support to the Aftermarket Parts Specialist as needed.
* Complete all required and applicable Level 1 - Certified Parts Professional Training.
* Ability and willingness to work overtime including extended hours and weekends.
* Follow all safety rules, policies and regulations and keep your workplace clean, orderly and free of hazards.
* All other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, Skills, Knowledge and Competencies:
* High School Diploma or Equivalent.
* Prior sale experience preferred.
* Experience connecting and interacting with customers, maintaining professional image and establishing rapport to build trust and improve overall customer satisfaction.
* Conduct business in alignment with the company's Mission, Vision and Core Values.
* Knowledge of standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook, internet functions and ability to learn the required business system computer software and programs necessary for this position.
* Listens and communicates in a clear and efficient way sharing relevant thoughts, ideas and key information with colleagues and customers.
* Builds and maintains customer satisfaction with the products or services offered to ensure an excellent customer experience.
* Takes personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work and achieves results with little oversight, shows up to work on time, and follows instructions, policies and procedures, stays focused on tasks despite distractions and interruptions, makes the best use of available time and resources and achieves desired results with little oversight.
Physical Demands, Work Environment and Travel:
* Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to perform tasks related to described essential job functions for duration of the work shift including but not limited to sitting, standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, leaning, twisting and in certain positions driving.
* Most duties are performed in a Shop Environment.
* Shop environments may expose you to hot or cold weather conditions.
* You may be exposed to climate-controlled office environments when traveling or while in other areas or departments.
* No travel required.
