RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up
- Locate and retrieve parts from inventory at the request of retail and wholesale parts salespersons
- Deliver the requested parts to the appropriate parts counter, shipping/delivery desk and dealership repair shop as directed by parts salespersons.
- Make sure that parts pulled and delivered are accompanied by the paperwork required by parts department policy.
- With or without supervision, perform general housekeeping tasks to keep the parts department safe, clean, and in good order.
- Assist the shipper/receiver in placing parts in their proper locations in bins, shelves, or racks, etc.
- Assist in the parts department's perpetual inventory as directed by management.
- Assist the shipping and receiving clerk (stocker) in their duties when not performing the aforementioned duties.
JOB PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
- Prompt and accurate retrieval and delivery of parts within the department.
- Strict attention to detail regarding the paperwork accompanying parts pulled and delivered to the retail desk, shipping and receiving and the repair shop.
- Safe, orderly, and clean condition of the parts department.
- A high level of cooperation with all parts department personnel.
- A high level of uniform appearance, personal hygiene, and work habits.
- Full time 40hr + week
REQUIREMENTS:
- Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Have experience with auto parts sales (preferred)
- Are able to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Have strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ford and Lincoln experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- valid drivers license
- Fork lift Experience is preferred but not required
