The Parts Quality Technician works with cross-functional teams (Design, Quality, Production, Sustaining, and Supply Chain) throughout the entire lifecycle of a product (from initial design through prototype development and into full production). Her/His role consist of make sure the production line is quickly protected from parts quality related issues through providing quick response to containment requests from production/quality teams while completing documentation for sorts and reworks (defining a proper method of inspection). The Parts Quality Technician makes sure the non-conforming material is properly segregated, identified and addressed to the corresponding process/team.
* Consistently perform higher level root cause investigations utilizing quality systems
* Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks
* Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations
* Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments
* Ability to effectively document and communicate investigation results
* Can use basic features of JIRA, X-Ray, Tableau, and other data acquisition systems
* Intermediate Excel knowledge (plots, Pareto Charts, etc.)
* Deep understanding of electronic components, including functionality of subassemblies and features
* Deep understanding of failure modes
* Deep understanding of how to apply current test methods to verify product
* Can clearly identify defect source using data
* Can understand PFMEA RPN values (Severity*Occurrence*Detection)
* Regularly works with cross-functional team to improve inspection criteria
* Uses knowledge of production process to recommend changes based on observation and data
